Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-28.

1. What head-mod is

head-mod is an AI-assisted moderation bot for Discord servers, paired with a dashboard at head-mod.com. By inviting the bot to your server or by signing in to the dashboard, you agree to these terms.

2. Who can use it

You must be old enough to use Discord per Discord's Terms of Service (currently 13+ in most regions). You must be the server owner, or be authorised by the owner, to add the bot to a server. If you operate a server in the EU, you are responsible for being a lawful joint controller of your members' data with respect to data processed through the bot.

3. What you agree NOT to do

  • Use head-mod to target individuals or groups in ways that violate Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or applicable law (harassment, doxxing, threats, illegal content, etc.).
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, billing, or the bot's safety filters (including the anti-poison and trust resolvers on memory writes).
  • Reverse-engineer the dashboard or attempt unauthorised access to other servers' data via the API.
  • Use the bot to operate competing services without prior written consent.

Violations may result in suspension of service and removal from your server without refund.

4. AI output disclaimer

head-mod uses AI models from third-party providers (see the Privacy Policy for the current list). AI replies, moderation suggestions, and extracted knowledge-base entries may be incorrect, incomplete, or biased. Server owners are responsible for reviewing automated actions where appropriate — head-mod includes a verifier loop and a trust gate, but no AI system is 100% reliable. We are not liable for moderation outcomes that result from AI inference.

5. Billing, plans, and trial

head-mod offers a free trial and paid plans via Stripe. Charges are made monthly in advance. You can cancel from the billing tab at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods. If you exceed your plan's caps (per-call, hourly, monthly), the bot refuses further AI calls until the next window or plan upgrade.

6. Availability

We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantees during the beta. Scheduled maintenance and unexpected outages can occur. Discord platform changes (e.g., permission API updates) may temporarily affect bot features.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of head-mod is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be notified via the dashboard and by updating the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the conflict-of-laws rules. Venue for disputes is the operator's place of business, unless mandatory consumer-protection law specifies otherwise.
